Wheeled shower chairs can support more assisted routines but require larger clear routes, effective brakes and a shower without obstructive steps or tracks.
Match the equipment to the traveller and accommodation
Measure the bathroom doorway, shower entrance, usable floor width and depth, threshold height and turning space. Provide the user’s seat-width, weight, balance and transfer information. Ask about adjustable legs, armrests, back support, footrests, aperture and maximum safe load. Suction feet and ordinary non-slip tips may perform differently on textured or heavily sloping floors.

Can a shower chair stand across a wet-room drain?
It depends on the feet or wheels, drain position and floor gradient. The chair must stand securely without rocking or rolling; ask the provider to consider photographs and measurements of the exact shower.
