A marina setting close to Marbella
Puerto Banús is associated with its marina, shopping and waterside restaurants. It appeals to visitors who enjoy watching harbour life and having a choice of places to eat nearby. It is a distinct base from Marbella’s old town. Decide whether you want the marina atmosphere throughout your stay or would prefer to visit it from another part of the coast.
A harbour view does not describe the entrance
Buildings around a marina can contain restaurants or shops at street level with separate accommodation entrances. Ask the host for a continuous video from the permitted vehicle drop-off to the apartment door. Include any access gate, lift and final threshold. If you need a vehicle with a ramp, confirm where it can stop safely without depending on a loading space being empty.
Allow room for a busy waterfront
A short route can take longer when terraces, shoppers and other pedestrians share the space. Choose a manageable first circuit and a quieter time to become familiar with it. Establish where you can use a suitable toilet and rest in the shade. Restaurant photos may show an attractive terrace but omit a step at its edge; ask about the specific table area and toilet route before reserving.
Plan Marbella and beach outings separately
A visit to Marbella’s centre requires its own route and transport checks. Do not assume a scenic coastal route is suitable throughout or that a standard taxi will take a powered chair. If staying in an apartment, confirm overnight charging, lift dimensions and the arrangements for equipment deliveries. For swimming or a boat trip, obtain the actual boarding or beach-access method before paying. Being able to reach the marina or beach is only the first part of those activities.
